Each season on contains 13 ½ hour episodes designed to entertain and inform with wonderful sewing projects, craft items and interesting guests
EPISODE 101
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by guest, Ron Collins, who demonstrates how to make a man's tie. She is then joined by her cousin Nancy and they make a sweater knit coat & sweater. The show ends with Eileen Roche showing how to place machine embroidery.
EPISODE 102
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by guest, Joan Gibson, for a baby themed show. They make a couple of baby receiving blankets, demo a mobile, make a couple of floor quilts and finish off with a wall-hanging & pillow that unrolls into a changing blanket. Linda is then joined by Mary and Alec Elliott, a husband and wife team who recycle old jeans into denim jackets, vests, beach blankets complete with bags, quilts, cushions, and woven rugs.
EPISODE 103
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by guest, Karen Gibbs, to make a kid’s towel coat out of face cloths. Mary Ann Oger joins Linda to show her knitted crazy coat and other machine knitted garments. Carol Todd does a segment on what to look for when buying a serger. The show ends with Eileen Roche showing how to join up different embroidery segments with satin stitch.
EPISODE 104
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by stained glass designer, Donna Hillier, who demonstrates making quilt panels out of stained glass and how to capture fabric between glass. Linda then demonstrates how to make a 'modern' quilt & pillow. Linda is then joined by Jillian who has taken the quilting idea & turned it into tiles set onto a table. The show concludes with Linda's Liberation License.
EPISODE 105
Host, Linda MacPhee is joined by guest, Carol Todd, and together they make a jacket with free-motion embroidery. They then whip up some fabric fringe and test out electric scissors. Next up is Eileen Roche showing some functional embroidery by decorating closures.
EPISODE 106
Host, Linda MacPhee is joined by guest, Elaine Lutz showing how she has recycled fur coats into vests, jackets, leggings, detachable collars, etc. Linda & Elaine next make a Duster Coat out of men's pants. Linda's next guest is singing quilter, Cathy Miller, who explains what inspires her. She also entertains us with a song.
EPISODE 107
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by guest, Karen Gibbs, to make a Positive/Negative vest. Linda is then joined by Cindy Hoppe who makes pieced jackets incorporating crochet, men's & women's wool suits, men's ties, quilting,stencilling, and dying. The show ends with Eileen Roche showing how to do wool felt applique with machine embroidery and how to embroider Christmas ornaments.
EPISODE 108
Host, Linda MacPhee, is joined by guest, Ron Collins, who demonstrates an invisibly stitched pocket. She is then joined by her cousin, Nancy Millar, to make a peek-a-boo jacket. Using the unusual beggar fabric Linda makes Nancy a tunic/vest by cutting out a neckline in a rectangular piece of the fabric. Together they then make a vest from a cotton rug.
EPISODE 109
Host, Linda MacPhee is joined by guest, Cec Caswell, who is a rug hooker. Cec demonstrates how to hook rugs using fabric strips. Carol Todd then joins Linda for a discussion of what to look for when purchasing a sewing machine. Together they then make a City Cats jacket. Eileen Roche next joins Linda for a discussion on whether you can embroider anything on an embroidery machine (almost) and Eileen demonstrates how to embroider on a difficult fabric (fake fur).
EPISODE 110
Host, Linda MacPhee, interviews her guest, Barb Thom, about setting up a sewing a school for kids. She then makes pillow cases with Barb Thom. Guest, Linda Freund, next joins Linda and shows all the work she has done on fabric books, lamp shades, lace, and embroidered bears, using her computer and embroidery machine. Carol Todd then joins Linda for a discussion on what to look for when buying an embroidery machine.
EPISODE 111
Host Linda MacPhee and guest, Stephen Antle, go over the steps to create a chair slip cover, from measuring to construction. Next they cover a square ottoman with slip covers in fashion fabrics. Foiling as a decorative technique is also demonstrated. Eileen Roche demonstrates how to embroider on ribbon.
EPISODE 112
Host Linda MacPhee welcomes guests from Swallow Hill creations who demonstrate how to knit and crochet, using beads as accents. They make purses, a miser’s bag, scarves, etc. Linda and her guest, Stephen Antle, make a simple playhouse from making the frame to making the fabric cover. Linda answers a letter about tricks to working with pre-scrunched fabric. To finish, the Swallow Hill ladies show how to knit and crochet with wire and gemstone beads to make bracelets.
EPISODE 113
Host, Linda MacPhee and guest, Joan Gibson, have a discussion on sewing for larger ladies. They then discuss how to alter these simple garments if the person looses weight. Linda and Joan then make a banded slinky jacket. Next, they make a dolman blazer with a cushion cover cut up into lapels. The remaining part of the cushion cover is made into a purse. Linda then welcomes guest, Steve Antle, and she teaches him how to sew on a button.
